Makasi Imports Drops Its Prices

As 2023 gets underway, and shipping prices fall, Dan Unsworth, founder and managing director of high quality wooden furniture and home accessories company Makasi Imports, tells GiftsandHome.net why the company’s prices have been reduced.

“With some concerns about business in 2023, we took a decision over Christmas to drop all of our prices in line with the current lower shipping rates from Asia, even though most of the stock we hold in the UK at the moment was imported before the shipping rates went down,” explains Dan.

“With shipping rates pretty much back to where they were in 2019, before they exploded upwards during Covid etc., we decided to get the ball rolling in 2023 by passing these shipping savings onto our customers in the hope that these lower prices will help them generate much needed sales during a tough year. Sales before Christmas were not as bad as we thought they would be, so with all of the current doom mongering in the national press, this was encouraging. We can only hope that this continues into 2023.”

Adds Dan: “For our 150 brand new products coming in during 2023, we have concentrated on bringing in many more smaller new products with a lower price tag. We hope this will help fill the gap for our customers in terms of sales, due to the bigger price tag items slowing down at the moment.”
