Maybugs Expands Its Retail Portfolio

Multi-award winning gift and lifestyle store Maybugs, which won The Greats 2024 Best Retailer Initiative category earlier this year, will be opening a fourth store in Chapel Place, Royal Tunbridge Wells, at the start of November. Other Maybugs stores are located in Bexhill on Sea, Eastbourne and Hailsham.

“For Maybugs to be expanding out of our Sussex base into Kent is a huge milestone for us,” comments sales director John Dale. “In just six years we have built and expanded the business to create a retail brand – a sign of our ambitious opening programme to expand the Maybugs brand and ethos over the next few years. We know that locals are going to love what we have to offer, as what we do, and the way in which we present, is quite different to any other retailer in the town.”

Adds managing director Greg Rose: “We’ve been hunting for the right premises in Tunbridge Wells for two years and are thrilled to finally be open in time for Christmas.”

He continues: “One of the cornerstones of the Maybugs business is that we are more than just a shop. We aim to become a community champion in each of the communities where we have stores, and part of this is supporting local community projects and charitable causes.”

In addition to being a Greats winner, Maybugs was awarded the High Street Hero award at the 2023 Small Awards, sponsored by Small Business Britain.
