Mocha Mousse Is Pantone’s Colour of the Year 2025

For 2025, the Pantone Colour Institute has named PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse as its Colour of the Year. A warming, rich brown, described as “nurturing us with its suggestion of the delectable qualities of chocolate and coffee, answering our desire for comfort”, the colour is said to bring asophisticated, earthy elegance that works on its own or as a versatile base.

Imbued with a sensorial richness, PANTONE 17-1320 Mocha Mousse is set to inspire people to curate experiences that boost personal comfort and wellness.

“Underpinned by our desire for everyday pleasures, Pantone 17-1230 Mocha Mousse expresses a level of thoughtful indulgence,” states Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “It’s sophisticated and lush, yet at the same time, an unpretentious classic.”

She continues: “Mocha Mousse extends our perceptions of the browns from being humble and grounded to embrace the aspirational and luxe. Infused with subtle elegance and earthy refinement, Mocha Mousse presents a discrete and tasteful touch of glamour. A flavourful brown shade, Mocha Mousse envelopes us with its sensorial warmth.”
