Moda Reveals The Upcoming Fashion Trends

Among the highlights of Autumn Fair yesterday (3 September) was the Moda catwalk in Hall 8, where visitors were inspired to kick-start their buying with the latest womenswear, footwear and accessories, which were brought to life as models demonstrated how to build looks and ranges from the show floor.

Kicking things off, primary colour-blocking took centre stage, featuring Jayley’s signature textural twist, tailored grape skin leather, bamboo faux fur and rose petal fibre layered with sequins, jacquards and knits for extra dimension. A neon yellow fur contrasted against metallic silver leather for maximum impact, with the neo-classic pink and red trend getting a tailored refresh.

Elsewhere, key black and denim trends got a seasonal update. In Back to Black, black took centre stage. Bold silhouettes, stand out details, and layered looks created head-to-toe dark and sultry looks. Meanwhile, the Denim Plus Plus trend highlighted all things denim this season, with Birmingham City University student, Rozita Anderson, showcasing designs from her collection.

Additionally, there were presentations from Saloos, Goose Island and Paramour showcasing everyday styling, featuring tonal knits, printed tunics and statement stripes. Lighthouse Clothing showcased new season outerwear with a collection of waterproof clothing.

Today’s Moda catwalk shows take place at 11-11.30am and 2-2.30pm on the Inspiring Retail Stage & Moda Catwalk in Hall 8.
