The winners of this year’s Stationery Show London Awards, held last week, saw Quadrille Publishing win an award for the Oliver Bonas: Work Hard, Play Hard & Be Kind A6 2019 Diary. In addition, Quadrille also won the Licensed Stationery award for English Heritage: Fold & Post.
The Good Design award, sponsored by The Giftware Association, was won by ethical stationery brand Vent for Change.
Designer Stationery was a new category this year, with Laura Jackson of Laura Jackson Design the inaugural winner of the Stationery Designer of the Year award. Although Laura trained in jewellery design and silversmithing, in addition to stationery, she currently designs a range of UK made homewares and interior products, inspired by her travels around Asia and the Pacific.
Additionally, five new categories were added to the Retailer Stationery awards, with Sidonie Warren, co-founder of Papersmiths, collecting two awards – New Store of the Year (Brighton and Chelsea) and Best Non-Specialists Stationery Store. (Papersmiths was also fanfared as one of 14 Remarkable Retailers in recent British Independent Retailer Association (Bira) campaign held in conjunction with Vend).
Among the stationery award judges this year was Chloe Bayles, head of wholesale at A Gift From The Gods and Katy Golden, the newly appointed head of gifts at the Great British Card Company.
