Pantone’s Colour Of The Year Revealed

Dependability is at the heart of Pantone’s 2020 Colour of the Year – Classic Blue (19-4052) – with Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Colour Institute, explaining: “We are living in a time that requires trust and faith. It’s this kind of constancy and confidence that is expressed by Pantone  Classic Blue, a solid and dependable blue hue we can always rely on. It’s imbued with a deep resonance, providing an anchoring foundation.”

Leatrice continued: “It’s a boundless blue, evocative of the vast and infinite evening sky, encouraging us to look beyond the obvious to expand our thinking and challenging us to think more deeply, increase our perspective and open the flow of communication.”

Pantone officials say the colour injects creative confidence into interiors, transforming a space through unique color combinations and tonal statements, and easily applied across many different materials, textures and finishes.
