PMC Acquires IP Rights For SignaturePG Designs

Personalised Memento Company (PMC) has acquired the intellectual property rights for all SignaturePG designs.

The move strengthens PMC’s position as the UK largest supplier of personalised gifts for multiples, independents, and ecommerce retailers. Combining SPG’s best-selling products and designs to the company’s existing range of personalised gifts provides an extensive, impressive catalogue of products for PMC customers.

“Signature Gifts Ltd is a leading publisher of personalised books and newspaper gifts. We are focusing on our core strengths in personalised publishing in the UK and US. To enable this, we have disposed of our general gift product designs and some goodwill to PMC and closed our Stoke factory,”  explains Signature Gifts’ ceo Kevin Spindler.

“Our publishing business is 43% up on pre covid and increasingly sold through our own D to C websites www.historic-newspapers.co.uk and www.inthebook.com Our US business is up by nearly 150% vs pre-covid levels and we are seeing stellar growth in marketplaces not least Amazon. Sales to other gift online retailers such Shop Direct, Getting Personal, Studio, Next, etc., continue and remain an important part of our business.”

As well as increasing PMC’s range of products, acquiring the IP right of SignaturePG also expands the existing team at PMC to include SPG’s sales director Debbi Hancock, product development & sales manager, operations manager and designers, who bring a combined 50 years of experience to the company.

“We are excited to welcome Debbi and her team to join us,” states Personalised Memento Company’s marketing director Keren Dicken. “Adding their knowledge of customers and products will strengthen PMC’s position within the personalisation market.”

The PMC website currently showcases the company’s entire range of some 5000 gifts, with new products added weekly. The company works closely with its retailers to offer benefits such as preview, photo upload, exclusivity and bespoke order integrations.

Established in 2004, PMC – which prides itself on its fast and efficient personalisation, production and drop shipping service – has made huge investments into production capabilities and operations, expanding to a 22,000 sq ft warehouse, boasting hundreds of personalisation processes and over 50 core staff.
