Red Hot Colour Of The Year From Pantone

Pantone has unveiled its Colour of the Year for 2023, describing Viva Magenta as ‘vibrating with vim and vigour’. The shade, according to the company, is rooted in nature, descending from the red family and expressive of a new signal of strength.

‘Brave and fearless’, according to Pantone, the pulsating colour is aiming to promote a joyous and optimistic celebration.

“In this age of technology, we look to draw inspiration from nature and what is real,” explains Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Colour Institute. “Viva Magenta galvanises our spirit, helping us to build inner strength.”

Other colours predicted to trending in 2023 include purple, lavender, lilac and shades of berry, which will translate across gifts, homeware, accessories, clothing and textiles.
