Spode Unveils King’s Coronation Tableware

Continuing Spode’s long tradition of developing homewares to mark royal moments, the company has brought out a special commemorative range to mark King Charles’ Coronation on 6 May, with the collection illustrated with design details synonymous with the monarch in Spode’s iconic cobalt blue.

The design features leaves and scrolls taken from Spode’s archive patterns, which intertwine with roses, shamrocks, thistles and daffodils to represent the four countries of the UK.

“We have a long history of creating beautiful and distinctive collections to mark royal occasions, so we’re proud to be able to continue this tradition and commemorate a truly special moment with the new collection,” stated Lisa Archambault, global design director at Spode.

“It’s ideal for collectors and for those who simply want to use and enjoy the range as part of their celebrations, as well as offering the opportunity to pass down an heirloom for generations to come.”

Made in Stoke-on-Trent, the collection includes a 9” commemorative plate, a covetable souvenir mug, a teapot, covered sugar, cream jug, teabag tidy and a coaster.
