Tasty New Heritage Inspired Gift Range Launches At Scotland’s Trade Fair Autumn

Fine food distributor Cotswold Fayre will be unveiling its new heritage inspired gift range, Ministers of Taste, at Scotland’s Trade Fair Autumn’s Speciality and Fine Food Fair taking place at the SECC, Glasgow, from September 16-17.

Paul Hargreaves, chief executive at Cotswold Fayre, and the instigator behind Ministers of Taste, believes that the market is ready for something new. “We wanted the range to look quintessentially British but contemporary, with modern packaging formats and vibrant colours,” Paul explained.   “The Ministers of Taste’s colourful eye-catching packaging, is inspired by iconic visual statements from recent decades with a clear nod to the ’60s and its importance in the nation’s culture.”

Research carried out by Cotswold Fayre revealed that when buying a food or drink gift for friends and family, 56% look for something different from the norm and not mainstream brands.  This figure rises to almost two thirds for those aged between 25 and 34. Additionally, food and drink gifts are particularly popular with those aged 18 to 35 with almost 40% choosing the category for half of all the gifts that they buy.

The Ministers of Taste range includes some of the best-known food and drink gifting products including biscuits, preserves, chutney, teas, confectionery and cake.

All products are manufactured in the UK, with the packaging, where possible, fully biodegradable or recyclable.
