The Coastal Path Is Among The Highlights At Giving & Living

The Coastal Path will again be among the highlights of Giving & Living 2025 – the UK’s leading show for coastal gifts and souvenirswhich will run from Sunday 12 January to Tuesday 14 January at Westpoint, Exeter. The sector will showcase a treasure trove of brands and products, many of which are unique to the show.

“Our unique location close to the beautiful coast at Exmouth means the Coastal Path at Giving & Living is one of our most crucial show sectors,” states Mike Anderson, managing director of show organiser Hale Events. “This special focus attracts an eclectic mix of buyers, with many visitors from the hospitality trade attending the show alongside our vital independent retail audience.

“We also want to show people that the coast in general, and particularly in the South West, is about more than just beach life. It also taps into a wide range of outdoor and indoor activities, from hiking and bird-spotting to surfing and cycling, as well as offering countless heritage

opportunities – visits to stately homes, museums and castles, show gardens and historic piers. This is especially true during seasons when the weather is less than ideal, which we’re well used to in Britain.”

Other key features at Giving & Living will include Designed & Made in Britain, a Gift of the Year Awards showcase and – brand new for 2025 – Sustainability Stars.

Hale Events will be highlighting the exhibitors who are running their businesses from a more ethical standpoint, such as those who are certified B-Corporations, who care about not just profit, but people and the planet too.

Visitors looking for products and suppliers with these credentials can look out for these Stars throughout the show and chat to the company about what they are doing, meeting the increasing consumer desire for sustainable products.

“Sustainability is becoming a more important factor in the buying decisions of consumers, whether they’re planning to reduce emissions, reduce plastic usage or waste, improve their supply chain, manage food waste more efficiently, or consider their choice of transport, so it is increasingly important that trade shows present and highlight products that they want to buy,” says Mike.

At the Expowest Cornwall trade show last year, also organised by Hale Events, Sustainable Business Master’s degree students from Exeter University surveyedattendees, with 78% saying that sustainability was important or extremely important to their business.
