The GA’s ‘Women In Gifts’ Event Returns In March

Building on the success of the first Women in Gifts event held in December, The Giftware Association is holding a second event on Thursday 7 March at the GA’s HQ in Birmingham.

This event is not just a gathering but a celebration of achievement, innovation, and resilience of women within the gift industry,” says event organiser Simone Rose. “We are looking forward to an inspiring day of learning, networking and celebration.”  Keynote speakers include Meg Hawkins and Louise Welsby, founder of Buy-From and chair of the GA.

Multi-award winner Meg is launching a new collection this Spring that showcases her commitment to quality and sustainability. From starting out as a watercolour artist at her kitchen table, to developing an award-winning international brand,Meg’s journey is a testament to creativity and perseverance. She will be sharing her story, the challenges she faced, and the triumphs she celebrated along the way, providing insights into the growth of her family business.

As the managing director of Buy-From creative agency and chair of The Giftware Association, Louise Welsby’s expertise lies in brand strategy and communication. With a passion for helping brands articulate their stories and connect with their audience, Louise’s session will offer key strategies for impactful marketing and PR, empowering attendees with actionable takeaways.

Additional speakers will be announced in the coming days. To stay informed and get the latest updates, join the  dedicated Women In Gifts WhatsApp group here.
