Taking fund raising to a new level, Port Erin based Mantons gifts and greeting card store has raised over £30,000 – not just for local charities and organisations, but for the people of Ukraine too. The shop’s latest effort saw £660 handed over to the Disasters Emergency Committee and Red Cross.
Co-owners Chris and Debbie Beards are determined to keep the generosity going with events, donations of stock, and greeting card sales.
“We’re all extremely proud to have been able to raise over £30,000,” enthused Chris. “We’re also thrilled to have worked with and helped local organisationssuch as Crossroads Care, Isle Of Man Arts Council and The Isle Of Man Post Office, as well as the recent £660 for Ukraine.
I’d personally like to thank all our amazing current and previous team members and our fantastic customers who have helped make this possible.”
Chris and the Mantons team, which includes his wife Debbie along with Lisa Walster, Olivia Leggate, Sophie Christian, and Esther Leece, plan to keep on fundraising, helping the community and supporting new artists and small gift and greeting card suppliers.
