The Henries 2019 Finalists Revealed

Over 14,000 cards were entered into this year’s Henries greeting card product awards, with the winners revealed at a spectacular Henries Ball on a ‘100 Years of Greeting Cards’ theme – in celebration of the GCA’s centenary year – on Thursday 3 October at London’s Royal Lancaster Hotel, overlooking Hyde Park.

“The UK greeting card industry has done itself proud,” commented Warren Lomaxjoint owner of Progressive Greetings, (the sister magazine to Progressive Gifts & Home), which owns and organises The Henries.  “We had a record number of entries and the sheer quality and diversity was stunning. The judging panel had their work cut out, but thankfully their experience and passion shone through,”

Buyers from Paperchase, Scribbler, John Lewis, Fenwick, Sainsbury’s, Fortnum & Mason, Tesco, Waterstones, Card Factory, Clintons, Barkers, Daniel and Moonpig, along with a host of leading independents, scrutinised the wealth of entries with their collective votes deciding which UK greeting card ranges are deemed the best of the best.
