The Living Store Launches

To complement the award winning The Barn gift shop at The Hollies in Little Budworth, a brand new retail outlet has been launched, The Living Shop, which sells a design-led selection clothing and fashion accessories, as well as furniture, home accessories, lighting and Farrow & Ball paint.

“The new shop is adjacent to our restaurant and is much more of a boutique store,” Ed Cowap, co-owner of The Hollies Farm Shop Group told GiftsandHome.net during this week’s Home & Gift show. “We wanted to create something that’s a little bit different for our visitors.”

Continued Ed: “At our gift shop The Barn, we are packed to the rafters with product, but at the new The Living Store the vibe is more like Anthropologie. We play different music for example, and have as few of one or two of a particular item. While customers at The Barn come in to buy gifts, we feel that they are shopping in The Living Store to self purchase.”

So how did Ed and his partner and co-buyer Sean Camm find Home & Gift this week: “We covered every square inch of the show and then went over it all over again!” Ed commented.  “For us, Sunday was our best ever day for sourcing product. The show gave some terrific ideas, and we placed a lot of orders while we were there.”
