TV Chef Nadiya Hussain To Take Part In Live Q&A At Brand Licensing Europe

With just over a week to go, the 20th Brand Licensing Europe (BLE) – which takes place from October 9-11 at London’s Olympia – is gearing up to be bigger and better than ever, with the show taking food and beverage as its theme.

A highlight of the event will be the appearance of TV chef, author and presenter Nadiya Hussain, who will be taking part in a live Q&A.

Nadiya, who won Great British Bake Off in 2015, and whose licensing representation is Ian Downes of Start Licensing, will be interviewed live in the Brands & Lifestyle Theatre from 10.30 – 11.15am on Tuesday October 9.

“This is a real coup for BLE,” commented brand director Anna Knight, “as Nadiya has become a huge broadcasting sensation in her own right since the Great British Bake Off, and is somewhat of a national treasure in the making. Her journey since winning GBBO, including a move into licensing, will be fascinating for our visitors to hear – we’re thrilled to have her on board.”

Also working his magic in the show’s brand new BLE Kitchen will be MasterChef 2018 winner Kenny Tutt, along with GUINNESS sommelier Ian Logan, who will reveal how to pair beer with food.

“BLE’s 2018 food and beverage was selected due to its rapid growth – global retail sales of food and beverage licensed products in 2017 were valued at $16.3billion, rising 4 per cent from the same figure in 2016 and growing by $1 billion+ since 2015 – and constant reinvention within licensing,” explained Anna Knight. “In addition to an extensive range of exhibitors representing food and beverage, restaurant or culinary brands, attendees can also meet character and entertainment brands showcasing their food and beverage ranges. It’s going to be a really insightful experience.”

Over 7,500 retailers, licensees and marketers are expected to attend this year’s show, with registration open now at https://bit.ly/2yI6GgN
