Two New Licensing Partners For The Happy News

Ahead of Brand Licensing Europe (BLE), which opens its doors tomorrow, October 9, DRi has confirmed that two new partners have joined the licensing programme which already includes gift and stationery collections from Widdop and Co and Blueprint.

They are bath and beauty specialist H&A, which will be developing the brand in toiletries, cosmetics and accessories, and Creme d’Or, who will be launching a range of chocolate and sugar confectionery lines. The extensive new ranges will launch in the new year with some exciting retail opportunities already lined up.

“This joyful brand is bang on trend in a time when positive thinking has never been more important,” enthuses Alicia Davenport, licensing firector at DRi. “The brand has gone from strength to strength this year and we’re delighted to have these two fantastic partners to join the Happy News journey and move it into brand new sectors.”

Alicia highlights that, playing to the public groundswell for wellbeing and mindfulness, the colourful, quirky stationery gift collections and stationery have been thriving in John Lewis, where The Happy News’ creator, Emily Coxhead, recently held workshops to celebrate Thinking Of You Week.  Dedicated fans of all ages got the chance to meet Emily in person and take part in an activity creating Happy Jars filled with inspirational and uplifting messages.

Greeting card retailer Funky Pigeon too, has supported the brand with cross category fixturing and a striking Happy News window which has had a huge impact on commuters at Paddington station. Happy News fans can also find a host of heart-warming greetings cards and dated ranges for sale across the high street.

Brand Licensing Europe (BLE), takes place from October 9-11 at London’s Olympia. Register at https://bit.ly/2yI6GgN
