Ulster Weavers Launches Home Comforts Collection At Spring Fair

In a change of direction for Irish textile manufacturer Ulster Weavers, the company has unveiled a brand new, colourful Home Comforts contemporary collection of home furnishings at Spring Fair. The launch comes as the company re-launches and repositions its business as a contemporary homewares brand targeting a millennial audience.

The debut collection, which is manufactured locally in Ireland, includes linen bean bags, pouffes, cushions and merino wool throws, combining the latest trends with traditional craftsmanship. Designs, to include Cardinal Marble, Hillsborough Floral and Limelight, have been inspired by Northern Ireland’s history, culture and landscapes.

“We’re very excited to bring our new home furnishings collection to the market,” enthuses Ulster Weavers’ managing director Gillian McLean. “The launch marks a time of change and renewal for Ulster Weavers going forward. Renowned for our rich textiles and design expertise, the Home Comforts collection responds directly to calls from consumers for locally produced products. Although we have gone for trend colours, we have essentially gone for marbling which is a key trend,” Gillian told GiftsandHome.net.

As part of the company’s plans to grow the business sustainably, the range has been designed and manufactured in Ireland using sustainably sourced materials, with products made from 100% Irish linen. “Sustainability is a key element for the business with everything recyclable and everything having functionality,” states Gillian.

Ulster Weavers, which was founded in 1880, is a global brand with customers in over 50 countries.
