Unwrapping 2019’s Most Popular Birthday Gifts

According to personalised gift retailer GiftPup, food and drink gifts – such as personalised pink birthday Prosecco, vintage birthday scotch whisky and Lindor’s birthday truffle tree – are the most in demand birthday gifts this year, with edible treats ahead of more traditional presents.

“Our bestsellers among adults are our alcohol gifts, but it’s just not wines and whiskies that we’re seeing increased demand for,” explains Giftpup’s product manager Emily Ford. “We’re seeing a definite trend for gifting alcohol-adjacent presents, too, such as engraved glassware.”

She adds that the personalised gift market is constantly growing. “Our birthday gifts in particular have seen a massive rise in recent years. A personalised birthday gift an easy way to send something meaningful and unique.”
