Aardman’s UK Licensing agency, Start Licensing, is among an impressive line up of companies sponsoring the inaugural The Gift Awards, which take place at the Royal Lancaster hotel on 12 May, with Wallace & Gromit sponsors of the Gift Of The Year My Gift Of All Time category.
“In 2023, Aardman will be celebrating 30 years of Wallace & Gromit’s ‘The Wrong Trousers’, and as Aardman’s UK licensing agency, we felt that The Gift Awards were a great opportunity to highlight this anniversary within the UK gift trade,” explains Start Licensing’s managing director Ian Downes.
Continues Ian: “Wallace & Gromit have enjoyed considerable success within the UK gift trade over the years and are much loved classic characters. We are working with companies such as Puckator, Half Moon Bay, Danilo , The Bottled Baking Company, Zippy & George , Nerdy Banana, Urban Pup, Signature Gifts, Deans of Huntly and Primus. They have developed fabulous Wallace & Gromit and Aardman products. We look forward to working closely with the UK gift tradeand our licensees over the next few years which are exciting ones for Aardman and their characters.”
