Widdop & Co Reveals: Why We’re Backing The Gift Awards

Continuing GiftandHome.net’s series of interviews, Stephen Illingworth, commercial director of Widdop & Co., which is sponsoring The Greats Awards Independent Gift Retailer of The Year – Midlands & Wales category, reveals why sponsoring a Greats category is so important to the company.

“Here at Widdop & Co, we consider it a huge privilege to be able to sponsor and support The Greats gift retailer awards,” states Widdop’s commercial director Stephen Illingworth. “2023 marks our 140th year in the industry, a constant within the retail landscape, but what would we be without the support of our customers, the retailers of the past, present and future?”

He continues: “Supporting this event is our opportunity to give back and celebrate the true champions of retail, the independent high street retailers up and down the country.”

Proud to be among the finalists of the Gift of the Year competition, Stephen adds: “Our product teams are not just good, they are ‘great’ at designing and developing unique products. This year we are delighted to be nominated for five of our products in the Gift of the Year competition, and shortlisted for three. We highly recommend stocking our stylish Frida glassware, our contemporary Disney homeware and, for the creatives out there, our gift in a tin collection.  Win or lose on the night, we are proud to be in among great company for a night to remember.”
