Your Gift Awards 2022 Experience Starts Here

It’s been a nail biting wait for the finalists of both The Greats Awards and the Gift of the Year Awards, but tonight (12 May) the winners of the inaugural The Gift Awards will be revealed at London’s glamorous 5 star hotel, the Royal Lancaster, with both gift product excellence and retail prowess recognised and rewarded.

The evening kicks off in sparkling style with the pop of champagne corks, thanks to Clarion Events who are sponsoring the fabulous pre-dinner drinks reception.

In an exciting twist on the traditional place card, a fabulous luxury, boxed, Italian Campo Marzio pen, RRP £30, will be given to every guest to take home and enjoy. (Campo Marzio is distributed in the UK by Manuscript).

Guests are also sure to be ‘wowed’ by the fabulous, handmade 3D colourful ‘pop up’ menu cards, designed and supplied by Cardology, featuring bags of retail theatre. The design team, led by Kripa Shah, leant heavily on the theme of celebration and the idea of bringing the Gift of the Year awards competition together with The Greats awards.

There’s also music from duo Matt and Marcel; DJs from The Freight Train; and a casino, sponsored by Progressive Greetings Live, that will see everyone celebrating together until the early hours.

The monies raised will go to The Light Fund, an industrywide charity which raises monies to fund worthwhile charity projects that help children, women and men. This year, half the money from the raffle will go to Unicef’s Ukraine children’s charity.

Since its inception, back in 2004, The Light Fund has raised over £1.8m and funded hundreds of different charity projects.

And finally, to celebrate The Greats Awards’ fantastic, 20th milestone year, a brand new, wooden, sustainable trophy has been designed to recognise and reward the 12 category winners. “It was a pleasure and an honour to have been asked to make these awards,” said WPX’s Simon Denvers.
